Ghostwridah - "Prescription"

It's really just a matter of time. Ghostwridah has a once in a generation skill set that is guaranteed to propel him to superstardom. Lyricism, flow, content, production, consistency... he lacks nothing. Ever since he jumped onto radars everywhere with "Red Bottoms" it's been an onslaught of truly inspired music.

Well into his next Michael Jordan inspired project titled 'Flu Game', Ghostwridah gives us "Prescription" today via his twitter account. Well known for his elaborate concepts and storytelling, "Prescription" takes us through the prognosis and cure for everything wack in Rap right now.

Ghostwridah - "All-Star Weekend"

Whether you've actually been to an NBA All-Star Weekend or not, it's common knowledge that it's more about the associated debauchery, drinking and drugs. Especially in more recent years as the events shine less and less.

People from all corners flock to whatever the host city is and, if only for a weekend, get to show out like no other time of year. Boys look to shine like NBA "ballers" and girls look to get "chose." It's a pretty pathetic scenario for the more level headed of us.

South Florida MC Ghostwridah has built into his brand impeccable timing. A preview of this track hit his twitter feed yesterday during half-time of the All-Star game. Today, we get the full track produced by frequent collaborator LowKey. He tells the cliche, but all too true story of how women lose themselves to "the lifestyle" of the rich and famous.

JF Brooks - "36 Hours" feat. Ghostwridah

A lot of people say they want it. They really believe they do. Though many believe it in their minds, they don't prove it with action. You see, it takes more than tweeting inspirational quotes and posting the "How Bad Do You Want It?" video on facebook.

JF Brooks says he wants it. He really believes it. He also proves it with action.

"36 Hours" is a sneak peak into the mind of a man with no plan B. He rhymes, "And my eyelids feeling heavier than my thighs is. My back cracks and my phone rings; that's my kids. Been in the booth so long, forgot where I live." Damn. That's work!

To add extra potency he enlists Miami MC Ghostwridah, who had a big 2012 full of critically acclaimed music. The two pair beautifully over the hypnotizing SpaceFace produced track. Ghostwridah - "Born Free"

"Born Free" is just about everything I love about Hip-Hop. The latest release from Miami's golden child's Freestyle Friday series is off the charts! Sampling M.I.A.'s song of the same title, which coincidentally samples a song called "Ghost Rider", Ghostwridah blends style and substance set to a backdrop fresh out of a 2012 remake of School Daze.

We've never heard Ghost like this. What he's doing lyrically is expected. He never misses on that front. The difference lies in the sound. Up to this point, his production has been a lot more glossy and crisp.  "Born Free" threw all of that out of the window for grit and gut. It works beautifully and definitely jumps onto an mp3 CD and into my car rotation.

GhostWridah - 'The Michael Jordan Theory' EP

Timing is everything and GhostWridah has perfect timing. His latest FreEP is a 5 song masterpiece titled 'The Michael Jordan Theory.' Dade County's finest released the project on midnight of December 23rd. In conjunction with the biggest sneaker release of 2011 - The Air Jordan XI "Concord."

I don't know how long it took him to visualize, concept and craft this idea but he executed it flawlessly. Taking a page from Air Jordan's book of domination, Ghost is asserting himself in the industry as an equally unstoppable force. Where Mike soared over defenders on the basketball court, Ghost raps contenders under the table in the studio.

As soon as "The United Center Intro" kicks off, those of us who were fortunate enough to see Jordan play in his prime are whisked back to a much simpler time in our lives. A time when the latest video games only had 16-bit graphics and we had The Fun Police. "Fu-gee-la", "Elevators" and "Tha Crossroads" were hot on the radio. Tupac was still alive! The Chicago Bulls went 72-10. 1996 was the year specifically. It might have been the greatest year for ev'ry-blood-clat-ting.

GhostWridah is a professional.

He is in top form on TMJT and if he's Jordan, then producer Lowkey is Pippen. He's an animal in his own right, but he's the perfect musical compliment to the frontman. Production on this project is just ... stupid! As I've come to expect, Ghost completely destroys every verse on this project. He is a superstar on the cusp of a major breakthrough/breakout in music. He is literally one radio hit away. He has the flow, cadence, content and ear. He's one of a kind.

'The Michael Jordan Theory' is GhostWridah's first championship ring. 'American Alien' was an amazing release. This project raises the bar several notches with LESS material. I love concept projects and TMJT is perfect in every way.
