Finally! The streets have been clamoring for a new music video from Siya since the release of her video for "I'm Gone." The video was shot in Los Angeles and directed by Mike Ho. The creative vision of both artists was a match made in heaven and they vowed to work together again soon.
They kept their word and Mike flew to New York a few months ago and the two shot a series of videos for songs featured on Siya's "Elevator Dreams" disc. The first of them to release is "I Put N****s On". Siya gets her "Boss" on cruising in a Maybach and showing a young man, "How to move it."
The interesting point is that the videos seem to have been worked into a continued story. Mike Ho, as usual, delivers super slick visuals and dynamic editing. I can't wait to see the next release in the series! For now, check this out and enjoy...

Rivals of Time Release Party
Last night I willed myself to get dressed and head out into the pouring rain and gale force wind. I hopped into my car and made my way south trying my best to not slide off the road into oblivion along the way. The destination was Canal Room for the release of Rivals of Time clothing. I also wanted to catch Fev and Siya's performances.
I got downtown safely, parked quickly and after more fighting with the wind and rain I made it inside. I was a little shocked but more so pleasantly surprised to see a packed house. Despite the horrible weather, people came out in numbers to support their friends. A beautiful start indeed.
The show got started quickly and Fev kicked things off with some of his newest material from the mixtape "3:10 to Prop". His sister, vocalist Brook Penning, threw her stamp on the performance as well and they put the venue in the mood to party.
Siya was next to grace the stage and, for the first time ever, she brought a live band with her. The band was on point and Siya turned the heat up another notch with her performances. Featured artist Lyric provided her silky smooth vocals on "Fade Away" and "Middle Finger" and the crowd's heads nodded in approval.
I had a great time at the show but I didn't get to stay until the end. It's a good thing I left when I did. This morning it took me 2.5 hours to get to work. Had I not had the little sleep I did, it could have been a nightmare trying to stay awake on the road.

Siya - "Elevator Dreams"
If you haven't heard of Siya, prepare yourself for something new. I hate to box people in with comparisons but this one is so glaring that you can't help but at least make a tiny reference. *Ahem* She's like a female Wiz Khalifa. Now, unbox her and open your mind, ears and heart to 'Elevator Dreams'.
This mixtape is the culmination of almost 2 years of work. This up and coming "femcee" has genuine skill and a very unique story. She's amassed quite a following underground and even caught the attention of clothier Rocksmith Tokyo. Her collaborative video with Rocksmith and Royal Rae for the single "Smoke Drink" can be viewed here: "Smoke Drink".
If you dig the music, you can catch up with Siya on twitter: @Siya_ or via her website www.IamSiya.com
