Leikeli47 - "$$$ Ina-Bind" Music Video

What the hell is this? Who? How? When? I don't even know where to begin with this one!

Meet Leikeli47. Yes, that is her name.... I don't know what to tell you. It's pronounced leh-kay-lee. That's all I know.

This one came through via the stylish fellows over at Stuff Fly People Like. I am completely mesmerized by everything I saw and intrigued by everything I did not see. This girl is OUTTA HERE! She is dopeness on a stick... in a mask. You haven't seen or heard anything like this since Missy Elliott was at the peak of her career and Leikeli47 is going to establish a whole new movement in Hip-Hop culture. That "it" factor that people always talk about? Yeah.

I seriously don't know what to say. I'll only end up gushing superlatives so just watch this joint IMMEDIATELY

I have a link to the mixtape but I'll post it later. I need time to get my senses back after this...

Kelis - Acapella

Kelis is back on the scene and making a splash in the US.  Not because of her feud with former hubby Nas, but because she has new music out.  The US just generally doesn't "get" Kelis.  She didn't even release 'Wanderland' here because it was just over most peoples heads.  This video is further proof that she prefers to earn in Euros.  I can't blame her.

I've always been a fan of her music and though this is a bit too "House" for my tastes, I love the visuals.  I think you will too.  Enjoy.

Method Man, Ghostface and Raekwon - "Our Dreams"

Meth, GFK and Rae have decided they want to do a spin-off group without using the Wu-Tang Clan name.  They've already started working on a new album but they haven't decided on a name yet.  They posted a message on MySpace requesting that people text their own ideas for the group name.  Whoever the lucky fan is that suggests the name that they choose will be featured in the album's liner notes.  Pretty damn dope if you ask me.  I expect this album to be F-I-R-E!  Click the link below to listen to the first released cut from the album.

Gil Scott-Heron - "Me and the Devil"

Respect if you know who this man is.  If you don't, please educate yourself.  You may have heard the term, "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised." at some point in your life.  He is the author of the original poem.  He's a poet who's career is largely defined by his works from the 1960s and '70s.

He's had a seemingly lifetime history with drugs and addiction but always manages to stay sober just long enough to rekindle his gift with words.  This is his latest from a forthcoming album.

Usher feat. Niki Minaj - "Little Freak"

Check out this leaked track from Usher's forthcoming 'Raymond vs. Raymond' album!  The Stevie Wonder sample is super dope.  I'm not diggin' the content though.  Male chauvinism aside; I'm excited for this album.  'Here I Stand' was very disappointing so I'm really hoping he bounces back with something at least remotely as thorough as 'Confessions'.

New M.I.A.!

M.I.A. posted this on TwitVid yesterday.  She just made my freakin' month!  I've been dying for new music from her and today I got my wish.  I hope that her baby is growing happy and healthy so she can get back to her adoring public.
