Nike Black History Month AF1 - 2010

Finally!  A full reveal happened last night on TNT.  Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley were each presented a pair of the shoes and the matching varsity jacket.

The shoes and jacket are scheduled to release on February 18th at select retailers.  Being from Harlem myself, I'm loving the Harlem Renaissance theme.  I can't wait to get my hands on these.

Truth and Consequence

I believe that it is virtuous to be honest.  Thus, I am honest.  Even when it may hurt me or someone else.

I am reminded almost daily that these are deceitful times.  We are fed lies in so many ways and forms that only the extremely keen can tell what's truth anymore.  It encompasses everything we encounter daily.  Turn on the TV and you're bombarded with media lies.  Turn on your computer and there are digital lies.  Go to work and you're surrounded by human lies.  Amidst all of the dishonesty you tell the truth and everyone looks at you as if YOU are crazy.

I believe that it is virtuous to be honest.  Thus, I will continue to be honest.

Def Jam - Rapstar

With the success of games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, it was only a matter of time before the rhythm game scene tried to appeal more to the Hip-Hop crowd. There were attempts a few years ago with games like Funkmaster Flex Digital Hits. More recently, DJ Hero is having large success. Def Jam is now trying it's hand with Def Jam Rapstar. An attempt at a Rap simulation. You will recite rhymes with Hip-Hop legends, participate in Rap battles and, believe it or not, record music videos with a compatible camera.

I've been talking to Donnis recently about doing a show here in NY, which I will detail later.  It was a nice surprise to see him pop up on this project.  He's making significant strides quickly and I expect he'll be a major force on the indie scene.  Check his freestyle clip below.

Trillian version 4.1

One login for all accounts.  I mean ALL accounts.  AIM, YIM, MSN, twitter, facebook, google talk, MySpace...whatever you use to communicate digitally, Trillian Astra will allow you to access all of them at the same time.  The interface is amazing!  Probably a little too cluttered for some, but it's very nice to look at, easy to read and lightning fast.  I've been using Trillian for better than 6 years now and this new release has me all pumped up just like the first time.  If you've never used it before, definitely give it a try.

The program boasts over 450 features.  That's just ridiculous.  Buzz me when you get on:

Black History Month - Romare Bearden

September 2, 1911 – March 12, 1988

American artist and writer. He worked in several media including cartoons, oils and collage.

Killen 'Em in Kazakhstan

No Borat.  I'm talking about Ruslan Mukanov.  Who the hell is that you say?  He's the guy that made a Rolls Royce Phantom.  Not bespoke "made" it, but MADE it.

He took a 1991 Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a whole bunch of fiberglass and plaster and single handedly created his dream car.  How much?  3,000 dollars (equivalent).  Yes, you read that right.  The only thing real on this car are the Rolls Royce emblems.  I can't believe how accurate this car looks.  He even added suicide doors!
