Ever since I first heard K'naan's music, I've been a devoted fan. It only took one song. The music, the lyrics and K'naan's delivery were all so potent that I knew immediately that he was someone I wanted to hear a LOT more from. I started poking around in search engines to find out more about him and his life story is simply awe inspiring. I was in Japan at the time and I ordered his CD online. The contents of the disc that arrived at my home, 'The Dustyfoot Philosopher', some weeks later touched my soul in a way that no other artist has in quite a long time.
I've eagerly awaited word of a new release from him. Finally, the wait is nearing a close. K'naan's second studio album, titled Troubadour, is scheduled to release on February 24th, 2009. He's already released 3 singles from the album. One of them, "Somalia" is available as a free download. The other two, "ABC's" and "Dreamer" can be heard on the artists web site.
